The Conflict Matrix

One of the models in the Four Rooms of Change is the Conflict Matrix. It illustrates the distribution of the various life outlooks identified by the concept.

Claes Janssen conducted the basic research that led to the theory and concept of the Four Rooms of Change, and the Conflict Matrix has been known by this name ever since.

A perfect normal distribution curve illustrates the distribution of the two very different worldviews on which the theory is based among the population.

A lack of knowledge about these existing differences creates major, often intractable, problems in all types of social systems. Knowledge of these differences, on the other hand, almost always leads to their natural and productive utilization.

Thousands of measurements over the years have clearly shown that these differences exist.

One of Fyrarummaren’s basic tools, Personal Dialectics with the Outsider Scale, allows individuals to explore their preferences regarding the two different views of life. This allows individuals to increase their life satisfaction and express their outlook on life more effectively. Sharing this information with a work group or management team usually has an extremely positive effect.
